This was a very exciting time for us early on in the year. We were able to witness a the life cycle of a Monarch Butterfly. We had our own very hungry caterpillar who satisfied his appetite on milkweed before he formed a chrysalis. We waited with great anticipation while he was going through his metamorphosis. Finally after about two and a half weeks, he emerged as a beautiful butterfly. We made sure we let him go in time to join the great migration south!
